This morning I noticed a Crossguard walk school children across the street with a smile on her face the whole time. From the moment she held the stop sign up to when she sat at her post. And all of this in forty degree weather. You could clearly see this woman loved what she did and enjoyed every minute of it. She had a passion for children and their well-being and it showed through.
Are we showing enjoyment in our workplace and with our clients? Do you truly enjoy what you do? In order to succeed in any profession there needs to be enjoyment in what you do. Even the most menial tasks should give you fulfillment for the simple fact of helping others. I think of real estate often and at the core it’s really about helping others. We are really in the ‘helping people’ business.
It’s not about the numbers or the closing or how many transactions we did per year. We are truly touching peoples lives by helping them sell a home and make that move or get into their first-home. Make sure that you are helping others with a servant’s heart and enjoyment and just like I noticed the Crossguard smiling others will notice too.
